The river experience was broken up into 5 different learning stations. Students at the water coloring station were guided through the art process by professional local artist Pam Pederson. Steve Starcher lead the canoe station and trained the students in canoe safety with a special focus on how to avoid bush monsters. Nature walks were provided by docents Mike Fagginato and Conrad Bitters. Super teacher Staci Bynum helped students discover the macroinvertebrates living inside the waters of the San Joaquin River, while Chemistry guru Steve Wilson helped students to test the chemical balance of the water in the river.
